In the second match in the tournament, it was time for a battle between the neighboring countries Sweden and Finland. Finland came off a 2-1 victory over Norway in their first match, while the Swedes had fresh legs before their first in the World Championship.
The Swedes got off to a flying start in the game when Rasmus Gustafsson, assisted by Albin Bysell, scored just a few seconds into the match – a tough start for Finland. However, the Finns fought their way back into the game, and at 21:42, Elmer Lönnberg equalized for Finland. The teams went into halftime with the score tied at 1-1.
In the second half, it took 16 minutes before we saw a goal, and it was Albin Bysell who put Sweden in the lead. Three minutes later, Gustaf Doktare sealed the deal. Sweden emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Finland.
